Research

The Faculty of Philology continues its long-term traditions of scientific and pedagogical experience. It was established in 1939 on the basis of the department of Kazakh language and literature, and then was renamed as “Kazakh philology”. In 2018 the Faculty of Philology in Shakarim State University in Semey was reorganized. Among the faculty members there are prominent scholars and teachers, namely 2 doctors of science, 3 PhD, about 30 candidates of science, associate professors, and masters.

To develop multilingualism by expanding the scope of application of the Kazakh language

Quality objectives

  1. To increase the level of scientific qualifications of teaching staff
  2. To ensure at least 550 students’ admission to faculty specialties (2024).
  3. To engage the faculty and teaching staff in grant projects,
  4. To provide publication of scientific articles by Faculty members in leading foreign journals with a high impact factor  -4

  6. To enable 2-4-year-old students and undergraduates to participate in internal and external academic mobility programs
