Department of "History"

The Department of History and Law is a continuation of the scientific traditions laid down by the teachers of the Semipalatinsk State Pedagogical Institute since 1939. The main staff of the Department of History and Law is highly qualified teachers, specialists, scientists, competent in solving a wide range of professional tasks. During the existence of the department , the priority areas of activity were: high quality of theoretical and practical training; consideration of the needs of the region; practical orientation of training; cooperation with organizations and universities of the near and far abroad, research work of teachers and students. The Department of History and Law maintains international relations with various foreign universities, in particular with the Altai State Pedagogical Academy, Altai State University, Tuva Institute of Humanitarian Studies under the Government of the Republic of Tyva (RF), Tuva State University (RF), Institute of History SB RASNovosibirsk (Russia), A branch of the Bayan-Olgi Aimag of the Institute of Philosophy of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences. Teachers of the department, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Atantayeva B.Zh. (2008, 2021), Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Baysarina K.K. (2011), Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Gazizova N.S. (2012) are holders of the title "The best teacher of the University of the Republic of Kazakhstan". There is an Association of graduates of the specialty "History", whose members regularly meet with students, participate in events of the department, university.

Academic Process

Currently, the Department of History and Law offers bachelor's degree programs in 6B01601 "History." Master's degree programs are offered in the field of history through the educational program 7M01601 - "History" (scientific-pedagogical direction), and doctoral programs are available through the educational program 8D01601 - "History." Work is currently underway to implement internal and external academic mobility programs among students and master's students. (Erlanova J. - PGPI, Pavlodar city, Bekmukhametov D., Kalieva N., Token A., Karimova A. - Dijle University, Diyarbakir, Turkey). As part of incoming academic mobility in the educational program 6B01601 - History, a student from PGPI, Sadyquly A., underwent training. Doctoral students from the department are conducting research internships at Hacı Bayram Veli University in Ankara (Turkey) and Altai State Pedagogical University in Barnaul, (Barnaul, Russian Federation). An agreement has been signed to organize the educational process with elements of dual education with KSU "Gymnasium No. 37 in Semey."

Research

Teaching staff of the Department of History and Law, doctoral students, undergraduates and students carry out research work within the framework of the cathedral topics: "The historical development of the Kazakh Irtysh region since ancient times." In 2018, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Professor A.I. Isin was the head of the scientific project of the Akimat of East Kazakhstan region "Archaeological monuments of the Eastern Sary-Arka". Teacher Rakhmetullin E.E. participated in the project of the Institute of History and Ethnology named after Ch. Valikhanov "Alash in the history of statehood of Kazakhstan: ideas, destinies, heritage (in the context of spiritual modernization of society)".
