Department «Automatization, Information Technologies and Urban Planning» is organized in 2022 by combining the departments «Automatization and Information Technology» and «Geodesy and Construction», which is a structural unit of the Engineering and Technology Faculty of the Semey Shakarim University. Graduates, who have training in the areas of the department, have a unique opportunity to find use for their forces in a wide variety of activities related to automation and control, information technology, geodesy and construction. The department has a good material and technical base and qualified teaching staff, which allows students to obtain professional high-quality knowledge and become specialists in the field of automation, information technology and urban development.
The educational and methodical work of the department is aimed at improving the methods of teaching disciplines, direct methodical support of the educational process, implementation of recommendations, improvement of pedagogical qualification of the professors and teachers. Elements of the Dual form of training have been introduced, contracts have been concluded for practical and laboratory classes with leading enterprises of the city.
